Open for business

All moved in, unpacked and ready to start the Wedding season.  I’ve been purchasing all the Eventective and Thumbtack leads I have received, but it is a slow start. Brides are not responding. I’ve ordered new business card with a new design. I’m looking at purchasing new door magnets for my car. It is a lot of money, and funds are very tight right now.

Most of my wedding items are stuck in Portland. The van I was using to move broke down about 40 miles east of Portland last month. The van is packed full and sitting is a storage yard that belongs to a friend. He’s looking out for me. I’ll get the remainder of the items at the end of the month.

I do have all the ceremony books, papers, and my certificates. I haven’t replaced the banners or flyers yet, but am in process of redesigning them. I am staying in constant contact with my Wedding Professional friends in the Tri-Cities through Facebook. If it wasn’t for them, I think I’d be a little frazzled.  Thanks guys!

Well, things can only start looking up from here. I’m going to the Seattle Wine and Wedding Experience at the Space Needle on March 28th, registered as Mother of the Bride, along with my daughter Stacy. I hope I get a change to put out a few business cards and make a few area contacts.

It’s going to be a great season!!
